When is a guard dispatched?

  • If the professional monitoring centre can't visually confirm a break-in on your Indoor Camera.

  • If you don’t answer the call from the professional monitoring centre and if they can't reach other keyholders.

  • If you can't remember your safeword.

  • If you ask for a guard to be dispatched.

What does the guard do?

The guard will ensure that the perimeter of the property is secure and actively look for any signs of a break-in. If the guard finds that there has been a break-in and there is damage to the property they will:

  • Call the police.

  • Call the keyholder(s).

  • Wait on site for the police and keyholder to arrive.

  • Report the findings via the professional monitoring centre's automated reporting system.

How much is the 24/7 Guard Response service?

24/7 Guard Response is included in the Pro Premium Professional Monitoring Plan and there are no additional charges when a guard is dispatched.

With the Pro Premium Plan, or any of our subscriptions, you are not locked into a long-term contract. 

What if I don’t want a guard sent to my house or if I have a false alarm?

You can opt out of 24/7 Guard Response by calling the team on 0800 456 1789. However, we would recommend keeping this feature for that extra layer of protection and cancelling this feature will not reduce the cost.

To help reduce false alarms when a guard may be dispatched, you could do the following:

  • Make sure you have at least five keyholders that our monitoring centre could call in case of an incident and they can't reach you.

  • Ensure your keyholders know they are one of your keyholders.

  • When selecting your safeword, make sure it's something memorable and easy to pronounce.
